Leading Cause of Death in America

According to the Guttmacher Institute, 1.06 million abortions were performed in 2011. This was actually down 13% from 2008. To put the number in perspective, the total number of infant deaths recorded in 2010 in the US was 24,586. The leading cause of death among all people in the country was heart disease, which took 597,689 lives. This means that abortion is by far the leading cause of death, but it is not even on the list.

Between 1973 and 2011, approximately 53 million babies were aborted.

53,000,000.

Our country is missing 53 million people between the ages of zero and forty.

Dead. Without a funeral or any recognition. Without being afforded basic human rights.

Think about it.

This article uses information from http://www.guttmacher.org and http://www.cdc.gov. We encourage you to do your own research and join the conversation! Please be respectful of us, each other, and the many people in our country who have been affected by abortion. Thank you!
